Reminder of School Holiday

All parents are reminded that there is a school holiday on Monday 06 October 2014. School therefore closes after school on Friday 03 October and reopens on Tuesday 07 October.

Exams Results

Exam news.

The Key Stage 4 summer exam results nationally have been described in the press as  volatile with some schools achieving much lower results than they were expecting. Overall our GCSE results were disappointing with a 2% drop in our A*-C including English and Maths to 43%. The 2% drop in the overall threshold is significantly less than that of other schools both locally and nationally. That said my concern is for Queensbury students and ensuring that they achieve what they need to become successful adults.

Both Governors and staff were disappointed with these results but equally determined to put things right. There are some positives to be shared with rises in the number of grade C or above passes in Spanish, RE, Art, Sociology improving upon last year
